Double cleansing of the face is cleansing in two steps related to the removal of make-up and larger (more visible) impurities, and then washing and cleaning from the remains of make-up and smaller (invisible to the eye) impurities.
Double cleansing is often called thedouble cleanseor DC method. It is based on the principle of "like with like". Taking into account that UV filters and make-up are fat-soluble,in the first step it is good to remove all layers from the face with a more oily product, and then wash off the rest with the help of a water-based product.
The choice of products depends on past habits, skin type and preferences for cosmetics (natural, conventional). For the first step, micellar solution Smilje, micellar solution 2in1 Smilje, nourishing milk Smilje or Professional Microemulsion can be used, while micellar gel Smilje, micellar foam Smilje or Amino gel are recommended for washing the face.
As they are intended for washing the face in the second step of skin cleansing, Micellar gel, Micellar foam and Amino gel are not intended as products that will completely remove decorative cosmetics, especially when it comes to powder and waterproof mascara.
In this case, we recommend that you include a double facial cleansing in your routine.
The microemulsion is formulated to be used on the entire face, including the eyes. It dissolves all make-up - powder, mascara, eyebrow pencil. It is used so that it is applied to a dry face with dry palms, massaged and washed off, without using pads.
A micro-exfoliant is a powder-type face scrub that requires water to "activate". In contact with water, the exfoliating powder creates a thick, creamy paste for deep peeling that removes dead skin cells, thoroughly cleans it and prepares it for the care routine.
Salicylic acid in a concentration of 1% brings exfoliating and prolonged properties to the skin. It belongs to beta hydroxyl acids (BHA), and due to its proven positive effect on mixed, oily and reactive skin prone to irregularities in the form of enlarged pores, open and closed comedones, pimples and acne, it is very often used as an active ingredient in treatment cosmetics.
Salicylic acid has an anti-inflammatory and comedolytic effect (prevents and alleviates the appearance of comedones), deeply cleans pores and prevents their clogging, regulates sebum secretion, removes dead skin cells, refreshes the complexion and gradually reduces the visibility of treatment spots and hyperpigmentation. On the other hand, mechanical exfoliation in Mikroexfoliant is performed by natural, round and gentle grains of castor wax. It can be used up to 3 times a week, but primarily depending on the skin type, habituation to acids, the rest of the care and the like. For most skins, once to twice a week will be enough.
The product comes in a practical packaging with a spoon that makes dosing the powder easier.
For users with particularly sensitive skin, it is recommended that the Microexfoliant be appliedonly if such a treatment product is necessary, only once a week or less often, and that it be left on the skin for a little less than the recommended time.
In addition, in such a case, it is good to perform a tolerance test on the forearm before using it on the face (the reaction is monitored for 48 hours). The product must not be combined in the same routine with other cosmetics that contain exfoliating acids and retinoids (retinol), and it is recommended to use it in evening care, with mandatory sun protection during the day.
The microexfoliant is used up to 3 times a week on all skin types, with the exception of more sensitive skin, skin prone to capillary changes, rosacea and similar conditions. For most skins, once or twice a week will be enough.
The use of Microexfoliant is not recommended for damaged, irritated and visibly inflamed skin with open sores and for people allergic to salicylic acid.It is not used even during pregnancy.Since it is a form of exfoliating powder, it is important to handle the product carefully and avoid inhaling the powder.
Due to the action of salicylic acid, a slight burning sensation is possible, which is a sign of the active action of this substance. If the burning sensation intensifies and burning occurs, the product should be washed off immediately and further use should be discontinued.
Assuming that the skin is suitable for the use of this type of product (undamaged, non-sensitive skin) and the use of a high protective factor, Microexfoliant can be applied even during the summer, always in the evening routine and with abundant hydration after exfoliation.
The microexfoliant contains 1% salicylic (BHA) acid, which, like other acids (except hyaluronic) and retinoids, acts to accelerate cell turnover, which is why the purging phase is possible, especially on skin prone to irregularities. As a rule, this phase is of a short-term, transitory nature, and it is not necessary that it will happen to every user of the product.
The same is possible when using Peeling tonic AHA PHA, Vitamin serum R² and RA.
For most skin, such a combination would be overwhelming and potentially irritating, so we do not recommend parallel use in the same routine.
For acids to be effective as an exfoliant, products need to have an acidic pH. Applying such products may temporarily cause redness, but it should subside relatively quickly. Redness that lasts for several days, a strong burning sensation and other similar phenomena are a sign of irritation and possible damage to the barrier (which usually occurs due to too frequent use or inadequate rest of the routine), which is why the product should be omitted from it.
We remind you that the Peeling Tonic is applied exclusively on dry skin, usually up to three times a week in the evening, with the mandatory application of sun protection products during the day.It is not recommended for extremely sensitive or damaged skin, and parallel use with retinoids or other AHA and BHA acids (layered application and combination in the same routine) is not recommended. AHA and PHA acids may be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, unless there are obstacles of an individual nature.
Peeling tonic AHA PHA is used in the evening, and is applied directly with the palms of the hands on a clean and dry face. This is followed by a neutral cream. The frequency of use is determined according to the needs of the skin. SPF is necessary when using this product.
SERUM FOR THE FACE
Products with vitamin C can absolutely be used when exposed to the sun. They act as antioxidants against external influences (primarily UV radiation) and complete the photoprotective effect of sun protection products. That's why we recommend using them in morning care with SPF.
Since it is not based on phototoxic and "heavier" active substances of synthetic origin, the serum can also be used during the summer, ideally in the evening routine . The sun protection cream is recommended to prevent new hyperpigmentation spots and to maintain the effect of the serum.
Peptide serum P contains the recommended percentage of Matrixyla 3000™ and Matrixyla sinthe'6™ of a total of 5%.
Vitamin serum R² contains 0.1% retinol (retinyl palmitate), which is why it is highly tolerable on most skin types and ideal for starting care with this active substance.
Due to the retinol in the composition, we recommend using it in the evening care routine, along with protection from the sun during the day.
Assuming that the skin is suitable for the use of this type of product and the use of a high protection factor during the day, the serum can also be applied during the summer, always in the evening routine and with a gradual introduction to reduce the possibility of irritation.
Since retinol as an active substance can potentially have a teratogenic effect on fetal development, the use of the serum is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Serums can be combined throughout the day, in morning and evening facial care, with cream after them. Vitamin C serum, Vitamin B3 serum or Hyaluron hydrator 4H with SPF protection are ideal for application in the morning, while Vitamin Serum R², Peptide Serum P or Vitamin Serum RA can be used in the evening.
It is not recommended to use the serums together at the same time (layered application) or in the same care routine due to potential irritation and/or loss of effect.
Combination skin that lacks radiance:Vitamin C Serum (+ SPF) in the morning, Vitamin R² Serum in the evening
Combination and oily skin prone to irregularities, redness, acne and signs of aging:Vitamin C Serum (+ SPF) in the morning, RA Vitamin Serum in the evening with gradual introduction
Oily skin prone to heavy secretion of sebum, acne and spots:Vitamin serum B3 in the morning with SPF, Vitamin cream B3 in the evening
Dehydrated or dry skin with the first and visible signs of aging:Hyaluron Hydrator 4H in the morning, Peptide Serum P in the evening
Skin prone to acne scars:Vitamin C serum in the morning (+ SPF), Vitamin RA serum in the evening
Dry skin with hyperpigmentation spots and fine lines:Vitamin C serum in the morning (+SPF), Peptide P serum in the evening
Since it does not contain potentially irritating ingredients, Peptide Serum P can also be applied to the area around the eyes, with caution and avoiding contact with the eyes themselves. The same applies to Hyaluron Hydrator 4H.
Due to the high percentage of hyaluronic acid in the moisture-absorbing composition, for a full and proper hydration effect, the serum must be applied to a clean, lightly moistened face, for which Hidro tonic can be used.
The care should then be completed with a face cream according to the skin type. Hyaluronic acid, as well as aloe vera, can have a slightly sticky effect on the skin, which disappears a few minutes after applying the serum.
There is no precise division, but approximately the RA Vitamin Serum is intended for:
- for skins accustomed to milder forms of retinoids, i.e. for people who want to switch to more after-care care
- oily and combination skin prone to clogged pores, acne and pimples
- balanced skin with hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and fine lines
- thin, resistant skin damaged by the sun that needs renewal (with a very conservative introduction)
In case of doubt, it is best to contact us via social networks or e-mail for a personalized recommendation.
The serum is not intended for extremely sensitive, damaged skin or skin prone to irritation, reactive skin, skin with chronic conditions, as well as for use during pregnancy.
RA vitamin serum is not recommended to be used during pregnancy. Temporary redness and a slight burning sensation are possible, which is rare, temporary and transient (getting used to the retinoid in the routine). If it persists or worsens, discontinue use. Full UVA and UVB protection from the sun with a high protection factor is mandatory all year round.
It is not recommended to use it in parallel with acids (except hyaluronic acid) and other strong active substances or their concentrations (for example, vitamin C) in the same routine.
It is not recommended to apply immediately after using Microexfoliant. As a precaution, at the beginning of using the serum, it is necessary to temporarily pause the use of acids even with more resistant skin, at least for a shorter period.
The serum should be introduced into the routine in the evening, on a clean, dry face. An amount of 2 pomegranate seeds is applied to the entire face, avoiding the eye area, and then after absorption, a moisturizing cream and/or oil without other active substances (without vitamin C, other retinoids, AHA/BHA/PHA acids) is applied.
It is used two to three times a week and monitors the condition of the skin, then gradually increases the use depending on the needs. It can be used every evening for resistant, accustomed skin. More details on usage can be readhere.
The serum can be used daily when there is a sufficient level of resistance and habituation to the use of the RA Vitamin Serum and in case it is necessary. For some skins, application several times a week will be sufficient.
Along with RA Vitamin Serum, it is good to apply gentle cleansing with non-drying cleansing products such as Microemulsion and Amino gel, and possibly a neutral cream or oil that will lock moisture into the skin. SPF during the day is mandatory, for which we suggest Professional face fluid SPF 30 or face cream SPF 50.
he serum contains 0.1% retinal (retinaldehyde), which, like other retinoids and BHA/AHA/PHA acids, acts to accelerate cell turnover, which is why the purging phase is possible, especially on skin prone to irregularities. As a rule, this phase is of a short-term, transitory nature, and it is not necessary that it will happen to every user of the product.
In the case of skin with a stronger appearance of closed comedones, before introducing this type of product, it is good to perform mechanical cleaning, and start the care after the skin has healed.
We do not recommend using it on the area around the eyes, since the product is very strong and formulated primarily for the skin of the face, which is much thicker and physiologically different from the skin around the eyes. Our recommendation is general (there are exceptions, and some people's skin will tolerate application on its own or with buffering ), but with this recommendation, as a manufacturer, we conscientiously want to prevent any unwanted irritation, since we are aware of the concentration of active substances and the potency of this product.
Reduction of retinaldehyde degradation was achieved through the use of molecular "carriers" (Cyclodextrin), the synergistic antioxidant potential of astaxanthin and the use of opaqueairlesspackaging.
It is not necessary to keep the product in the refrigerator, but it is necessary not to expose the serum to high temperatures and direct sunlight.
The mentioned serums differ in many details, mainly the form of the retinoid and the concentration of the active substance, but also the rest of the formulation and the method of use and adjustment of the routine. More details are available in the blog article .
All products can be used during pregnancy, except Microexfoliant (salicylic acid) and Vitamin Serum R² and RA (retinoids).
Omega Elixir is a nourishing oil intended for deep evening care of almost all skin types. It has a low viscosity and a light but nutritionally rich texture.
Based on a valuable complex of squalane from olive oil, avocado oil, chia seeds, blackberry seeds and evening primrose,Omega Elixir thoroughly moisturizes the skin, soothes it and restores its protective layer (hydrolipid barrier).
It prevents transepidermal moisture loss and has a reparative and preventive effect against the effects of exposure to sunlight and other external influences. Due to the natural property of squalane in the form of affinity with the natural fat of the skin itself, this oil is absorbed with exceptional ease, locks moisture into the skin and leaves it soft, elastic, nourished and protected.
The characteristic nutty smell comes from the natural oils it contains, mainly chia seed oil and blackberry seed oil.
Since Omega Elixir is a complex of squalane obtained from olive oil and nutritious oils of avocado, chia seeds, blackberry seeds and evening primrose, which in selected percentages suit each skin type, it can be used on dry as well as on mixed skin.
Use is not recommended exclusively for more reactive and more oily skin, which is otherwise prone to comedones. More details on the topic of oil comedogenicity are available in ourblog article.
Since it is a complex of oils rich in nutrients, Omega Elixir is recommended for evening care. However, it can be used according to the needs of the skin, even in the morning. It can also be the only product in the care routine, alongside facial cleansing products.
For certain skin types, the Omega Elixir will be sufficient on its own or with a serum. However, this oil achieves its full potential in combination with other products, especially serum and cream. Since the order of "layering" application is based on the textures of the product, it is recommended to start the care with watery and end with oily textures. This creates a protective layer that prevents moisture loss and helps to use the full potential of active substances such as hyaluronic acid. Here, the rule "less is more" is important - it is enough to use only a few drops of serum, then a pea-sized amount of cream, then a few drops of oil.
Golden immortelle oil for the face is mainly intended for dry and sensitive facial skin, since it contains a combination of nourishing oils with a slightly higher comedogenic potential, such as olive oil and apricot seeds.
Although the entire Smilje collection has been redesigned in terms of packaging, illustrations, colors and communication, the formulation and composition of the products, including the creams from the Smilje collection, have been the same from the very beginning and have not changed.
Our CC cream contains a protective factor of 12, which alone is not sufficient when staying outdoors for a long time and in the warmer part of the year. The factor is achieved by using a mineral UV filter that is part of the pigment itself.
The texture of the CC cream is light and suitable for use on all skin types, including mixed skin. Due to the somewhat higher comedogenic potential of macadamia oil and the concentration contained in the composition, the use of CC cream is not recommended for skin prone to clogged pores and acne. In order to achieve a matte effect, it is good to 'finish' the CC cream with a stone powder.
Our CC cream comes in two shades, LIGHT and MEDIUM. These are two neutral shades easily adaptable to the largest percentage of skin tones.
At first glance, the shade of Olival CC cream can give the impression that it is a different color, which is possible primarily due to the use of natural oils in the composition. At the moment when the cream is squeezed out of the pump, a different shade may appear than the one previously used. However, when it is spread over the face, the cream adapts to the complexion and tints the skin in the same way after being absorbed, since the formulation contains a standardized percentage of pigments.
From the very first use of facial skin care creams, it is advisable to start with cosmetics with as natural a composition as possible. Face creams from the Smilje collection are NATRUE certified for natural cosmetics, formulated with selected natural ingredients, primarily essential oil of immortelle, but also other nourishing oils and valuable plant extracts. The best effectiveness is achieved with regular, long-term use and combining it with other products from the collection in the care routine during the day.
Face creams from the Smilje collection are not recommended for use in case of hypersensitivity to essential oils and allergies to salicylic acid, which is in a milder percentage and is part of the preservative system.
Due to the high content of nourishing oils such as almond, olive and apricot kernel oils, which can potentially prove to be comedogenic on certain skin types, the Extra Rich Cream is not recommended for use on skin prone to irregularities. In this case, we suggest using the Regenerative cream with immortelle oil or the Mattifying fluid Smilje, which is ideal for oily skin with irregularities.
Regenerative cream with immortelle oil for special care is ideal for mixed skin types prone to irregularities. It is a moisturizing emulsion that quickly absorbs into the skin, smoothes and mattifies it, and makes a good base for applying decorative cosmetics.
Green coffee oil, among other things, stimulates blood circulation in the skin, so after applying the cream, a temporary appearance of redness is possible. Such a phenomenon is a sign of the effect of the oil as an active substance.
SPF FACE CREAM
As the Professional Facial Fluid SPF 30 is primarily intended for protection against UV radiation and skin care and is not a treatment product based on niacinamide, it is a concentration that supports the hydration effect. These products can be used alongside treatment products with a higher concentration of niacinamide.
Both products are somewhat waterproof, but due to the formulation in the direction of daily SPF for year-round protection and care, they are not completely waterproof, nor are they communicated as such. You can definitely use them on the beach as well, with regular renewal of the product in a sufficient amount every time you swim, sweat or every 2 hours.
The magical peeling gel should be squeezed out of the packaging into the palms of the hands, applied evenly to the skin of the body and massaged in circular motions. After that, it is thoroughly washed off, and the skin is moisturized with Magic Body Milk.
The magical peeling gel, like the other peels in the range, is formulated in accordance with the requirements of "green chemistry". It does not contain plastic particles, has no harmful effect on wastewater and does not pollute the environment.
The magical peeling gel is mainly intended for body skin that is sensitive and prone to drying, but also for balanced, undemanding skin. Since it contains exclusively exfoliating apricot kernels, it is particularly suitable for skin that does not need particularly abrasive body exfoliation.
As it is a concentrated combination of high-value, nutritious natural oils, some of which have a higher comedogenic potential, the use of Magical Dry Oil and Magical Golden Oil is not recommended for skin prone to irregularities in the form of clogged pores, pimples or acne.
Liquid soaps for intimate care Active and Sensitive have a pH value of 4.5, specially adapted to the care of intimate parts of the body. The soap has a slightly acidic pH in order to prevent the development of pathogenic bacteria and fungi, which are more difficult to develop in an acidic environment. The soap acts preventively in periods when it is possible for the bacterial flora of the intimate parts of the body to be damaged - when taking antibiotics, in special conditions and hormonal changes.
Liquid soaps for intimate care are enriched with calendula and almond oil and specially adapted to the sensitive mucous membrane of the intimate parts of the body, which is why they can be used from the earliest girlhood.
Hand creams with calendula extract and lavender essential oil are intended for daily hand care, as they are absorbed very quickly and make hands silky. Hand concentrates have a much thicker, slow-absorbing texture with a higher percentage of glycerin. The concentrate serves excellently as an occlusive, locks moisture into the skin and is ideal as a rich night care.
The stone for the feet is a completely natural stone obtained from pumice, a hollow rock of light weight, which performs an excellent exfoliation of the feet and easily removes the dead cells of the thickened skin.
OILS AND SERUMS
Since it is a concentrated avocado oil with a slightly higher comedogenic potential, it is not recommended to be applied to facial skin prone to the appearance of irregularities in the form of pimples and acne. It can be used to care for dry skin of the body and hair.
Since it is concentrated almond oil with mild comedogenic potential, it is not recommended to apply it to facial skin prone to irregularities in the form of pimples and acne. It can be used to care for the skin of the body, hands, cuticles and hair.
Walnut oil is especially good in caring for hair of darker shades, restoring shine, fullness and elasticity. It can also be used as part of a hair pack and as a treatment for dry and damaged ends.
Castor oil is a nutritious oil of high viscosity, thick and rich. It cares for the skin of the scalp and eyelashes extremely well. Due to its somewhat thicker, greasier texture, it is good to apply it as a pack overnight or as a slightly longer hair treatment before washing. It can be applied to wet or dry hair or scalp.
Hair oils can be applied to wet or dry hair and scalp. If the hair is "burdened" with styling products, it will be more difficult to absorb oil, so washing or rinsing the hair is recommended for this reason.
Pakung is the name for a deep cure, a hair treatment for which oils are ideal. It is carried out for half an hour onwards, and with low-porosity hair (which hardly absorbs products) even during the night, when oils are applied to wet or dry hair, and the hair is then protected with a towel or scarf. After getting up, the hair is shampooed and rinsed, and the hair remains deeply nourished, firm, shiny and strong.
Natural hair shampoos Mint and lavender, Rosemary and lemon and Sensitive contain ingredients of natural origin. They are formulated without artificial fragrances and colors, do not contain parabens, silicones or alcohols, and instead of drying surfactants they containCoco GlucosideandSodium Coco Sulfate, gentler surfactants and essential oils.
Due to their composition, they are also ideal for low-porosity hair, where the remains of styling products easily settle, as well as for scalps that need a gentle but effective shampoo.
Natural shampoos contain hydrolyzed wheat protein, which is a certified gluten-free raw material.
Due to its mild, harmless and non-irritating composition, the natural Sensitive shampoo is ideal for daily hair washing.
Natural shampoo Rosemary and lemon contains essential oils of rosemary and lemon that balance the scalp, stimulate circulation and regulate the secretion of oil on the scalp, which is why it is ideal for washing oily hair prone to flaking of the scalp.
Natural shampoos contain natural essential oils such as lavender, rosemary and lemon oils. After long-term use of usual shampoos with drying surfactants, a period of 'getting used to' different care is possible, but essential oils stimulate circulation in the long term and regulate the secretion of natural fat, and thus the oiliness of the scalp.
Natural shampoos contain essential oils, so their use is not recommended in case of allergy or any hypersensitivity. If there is irritation or damage to the skin of the scalp for which use is not recommended, it should be paused or stopped completely.
Thistle shampoo, which belongs to the treatment Olival shampoos, is ideal for washing and caring for damaged, dry hair and scalp with dry dandruff. With long-term use, it soothes the skin, prevents flaking and hair loss, and nourishes and cares for hair to the very tips. It is ideal to use it in combination with Burdock oil.
Instead of surfactant SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), treatment Čičak shampoo contains SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), a slightly milder form of surfactant that enables better foaming and cleaning.
Natural shampoos contain SCS (Sodium Coco Sulfate) andCoco Glucosideof vegetable origin, which provide a gentle foaming effect. These shampoos are a gentler and more natural alternative to classic drugstore shampoos.
OILS AND GELS
Due to the specific composition of certain gels containing menthol and camphor, they should not be used by children under 6 years of age and pregnant women. Exceptions are Magnesium oil and Magnesium gel, which can be used by pregnant women.
Aloe vera gel can also be used on the skin of the face, but it is recommended to choose dedicated creams for long-term care.
Depending on the skin and the external conditions in which the product is used, the effect of the repellent lasts up to 2 hours, after which it must be reapplied.
Due to the high percentage of essential oils in the composition, which are the main active substance of this spray, and despite the fact that it is generally absorbed well into the skin, the repellent can leave stains on clothes. We recommend waiting a few minutes after application before dressing and avoiding spraying directly on clothes.
Natural Defense KIDS spray can be used already in early childhood, from the second year of life. Applied to the skin, it creates a natural barrier and protects delicate children's skin. It does not contain parabens, silicones, artificial colors or fragrances.
In addition to mosquitoes, Natural Defense sprays provide moderate protection against ticks.
Natural Defense repellents are 100% natural products expressed from base oil and essential oils. PiQuit repellents are conventional non-greasy products based on the active substance icaridin, which is obtained from natural piperine. Both collections are DEET free.
SUNBAKING AND ACCELERATED TANNING
Although SUPER Carrot Jam also comes in a variant with a protection factor of 10, when exposed to the sun all day, the skin must be protected from solar radiation with oil or milk, and then apply jam, dry oil or golden oil.
Sun protection must be reapplied after every bathing and wiping with a towel or every 2 hours, with the application of an adequate amount of protective product (about 2 mg per 1 cm2 of skin).
Nutritious carrot and walnut oils, which are rich in nutritionally rich substances, naturally have a darker color by themselves and can stain lighter clothes or swimwear. It is recommended to use it on the beach, and any stains should be washed with special products available in drugstores.
Some of our products, such as face creams with immortelle, contain wheat germ oil. This oil is freed from gluten during the processing process, which is why it is declared gluten-free. Hydrolyzed wheat protein, which we use in our natural shampoos and #KUPANAC and #RAŠČESLJANAC products also does not contain gluten. In order to be sure of recommending an individual product for people with celiac disease, please contact us directly with a specific inquiry so that we can carry out the necessary checks.
The entire range of Olival products does not contain parabens.
Our products have been laboratory tested, during which it was determined that they may contain traces of nickel in their composition, which is considered a negligible, safe and completely harmless component.
We buy most of the raw materials in Croatia, considering that during all 27 years of business, one of our goals was to support Croatian suppliers.
We buy raw materials that cannot be supplied in Croatia mostly in the countries of the region and in Europe.
CRUELTY FREE AND VEGAN STATUS
The entire range of our products is not tested on animals. We have proudly held the cruelty free status since our very beginnings more than 28 years ago.
More than 90 of our products are vegan, that is, they do not contain ingredients of animal origin. Only some of them are products from the Professional collection and the #MALCI collection, and the SUPER Mrkva lip balm SPF 20 has a Vegan certificate. In the future, we will strive to develop even more vegan formulations for our products. The entire range of Olival vegan products can be searched under "Collections".
CERTIFICATES AND STANDARDS
Olival's production process is based on the ISO 22716 standard, which confirms good manufacturing practice. The production process itself is certified by the IFS HPC certificate.
Through this system, a number of business and operational advantages and benefits are realized, such as supervision of suppliers of raw materials and the quality of delivered raw materials, prevention of negative external influences of any kind on the efficiency of the production process and product quality, control of the production process and traceability from raw materials to each individual product. , but also continuous maintenance and improvement of the competencies of all employees.
In addition, the segment of our products, more specifically the part of creams, liquid hand soaps and the collection of facial care products with immortelle oil, has been certified with the NATRUE certificate since 2014, which is also the first certification of this type in Croatia. It is a certificate for which 75% of products in an individual line must comply with NATRUE criteria. The general principles of this international certificate are based on the natural and organic origin of cosmetics. Our production process is also certified by the ECOCERT certificate for natural and organic cosmetics.
ADVANTAGES OF NATURAL COSMETICS
Just some of the main advantages of natural cosmetics are the 100% natural ingredients, mainly of plant origin, which are not tested on animals, then the long-term better impact on the skin and the entire organism, as well as a positive, non-burdening impact on the environment. The products are created without unnecessary packaging and microplastics, and are made on the principles of the so-called "green chemistry".
As Olival's story began almost 30 years ago, over the years our range has grown and changed step by step. Today, it contains more than 170 products. Our founder, Vlasta Pojatina mag.pharm. she started with traditional recipes that were based on pharmaceutical knowledge and ingredients such as natural oils and extracts. As time passed, we came to new knowledge and trends. Our research and development team always does its best to recognize the key needs of customers, so today in our assortment we have older products that have been with us literally since the beginning and that have their loyal customers, as well as new products.
We produce exclusively natural cosmetics with the first NATRUE certificate in Croatia and the region (Smilje collection, natural liquid soaps), cosmetics based on natural ingredients (e.g. Rose collection, Green coffee collection) and conventional cosmetics based on potent active ingredients and high concentrations of the same in innovative formulations (Professional). With the breadth and variety of our assortment, we enable everyone to find something for themselves.
